DDOS Attack on Wikipedia

Wikipedia worlds largest source of information has been under attack by a black hat hacker in Europe.

A huge amount of malicious attack has been performed on Wikipedia across all over Europe and in the Middle East.
According to multiple reports by Wikimedia Foundation.

Wikimedia say's "This attack took place on Friday and was continued till the weekend".
A statement by the foundation condemned the attack and said "it was carried out by " 'bad faith' actors." 

As of Sunday morning in the U.S., the attack was still affecting parts of Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Poland, and Israel, according to DownDetector.

The sites in Europe are still down, a team of Wikipedia trying to tackle this situation".
