What is Maltego?

Maltego, developed by Paterva, is a link analysis and data mining tool that helps investigators discover relationships between entities like people, email addresses, domains, IPs, organizations, and social media profiles.

It’s widely used by cybersecurity professionals, ethical hackers, forensic investigators, and even journalists to visualize connections and patterns hidden within datasets.

Maltego uses two key concepts:
