Overview
A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft SMB Server which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code to take control of an affected system.

Description
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Microsoft SMB Server due to improper handling of the SMB protocol requests by the affected SMB Server. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted packet to a targeted SMBv3 Server and convince a user to connect to it.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to gain the ability to execute code on the target SMB Server or SMB Client.
